Warhammer 40K Imperium Magazine! Issue 8&9 Review26th Oct 2021
Hopefully everyone is loving their new models and have gotten lots of painting done now. This week let us have a look at Warhammer 40K Imperium issues 8 and 9.
Included in Issue 8 are the Magazine itself and a Necron Overlord. This miniature holds aloft his resurrection orb and is equipped with a warscythe giving him a very grim reaper look akin to the Nightbringer himself.
Included in Issue 9 are the Magazine itself, and first sprue of Necron Warriors with Scarabs. Note that some of the warriors have options like spare heads and weapons that span across both Issue 9 and 10 so it might be worth waiting to assemble all 10 warriors and 3 Scarab Swarms at once when issue 10 arrive.
The Necron Overlord fits nicely in a range our our trays. From 15 in the D5H upright, to 10 in the D2H sideways meaning these tray have plenty of room for other similar sized models on 40mm bases like the Chronomancer that is due later in the series. However if you have followed our magazine reviews you will know we recommended the NE22 for this model as it fits perfectly and the tray has room for lots of other Necron models like the Skorpekh destroyers already received in issue 4.
The Necron Warrior models would fit nicely into the F3H tray which has room for up to 18 of these models on 32mm bases. If you have been following our magazine reviews you would have seen we also recommended 4 of these trays as part of the case sets for the Necron army.
If you are also subscribed like us and plan to collect all the magazine issues then please check out our review of issue 1 with a list of trays perfect to hold the entire miniature collection here. If you also want to store the terrain safely then stay tuned over the next few months and we will let you know how to store these too.
