Leviathan Trays22nd Jun 2023
With the new 10th edition of Warhammer 40K just around the corner we wanted to make sure everyone knew exactly which trays to get to carry their new Space Marine and Tyranid figures from the Leviathan box set that is out this weekend!
Starting with the Space Marines and their largest figure, the Ballistus Dreadnought fits great in the SM65 tray. This tray can hold 2 Dreadnoughts or Repulsor size tanks so makes for a great tray to hold and expand your force.
The Infernus Squad and new Sternguard Veteran Squad are great in the SM58 tray which can hold 20 models on up to 32mm bases, meaning you can even put the Teleport Beamer from the Terminators in as well.
Lastly grab a SM48 for the Terminator Squad, Librarian in Terminator Armour, Apothecary Biologis, Lieutenant in Phobos Armour and Captain in Terminator Armour. This tray can hold 15 models on 40mm bases but as the Captain is on a 50mm round base it will require 2 compartments, but this will still leave you with 5 extra compartments.
What is great about these 3 trays is they will all fit inside a KRM together. If you prefer a core tray alternative then grab the J1H, SM58 and D5H and pluck the compartments to the same sizes.
Next up are the new Tyranids for which the boxset is named after! Grab an NE6P6 to hold up to 6 models, perfect for the 3 Leapers and room for the Neurotyrant too.
The SM69 works well for the Barbgaunts with room for 10 models, whilst the N3H will hold 20 models making it perfect for the Neurogaunts and the Neuroloids.
With the slight up scale of the Termagaunts, the SM80 makes a good tray for these models, whilst having room for the Ripper Swarms and the Nodebeast too, so grab 2 of these trays for 30 models total.
Lastly we have the brand new tray the TY29 on its way. This tray will hold the new Screamer-Killer as well as the Psychophage and either the Winged Tyranid prime of the Neurotyrant, giving you some options for how you store and transport.
These trays fit great in a KRX case and we have the J2H, D2H, 3x F3H and the D1H as the core options respectively.
Be sure to stay tuned as more miniatures get released for the new edition, we will be recommending trays for all the releases still to come.
