Warhammer 40K Imperium Magazine! Issue 2 Review 9th Sep 2021
With the initial 2 week period that Issue 1 spanned we now have our hands on Issue 2 of Warhammer 40K Imperium Magazine so let us look at the contents of the issue.
Included in Issue 2 are the Magazine itself, a pot of Runelord Brass paint, a Citadel paintbrush and 3 awesome looking Necron Warrior miniatures first released in the Indomitus box set but now available in a box of 10 with some Scarabs or as part of the various starter sets and the Necron paint set. These miniatures are updated from the sculpts we have enjoyed for the last 15+ years and have a more slender skeleton frame with some noticeable battle damage. Unlike the sprue of 10 these 3 Necron Warriors do not come with the option of two weapons and so must be equipped with their Gauss Flayer.
These models would fit nicely into a F3H tray which has room for up to 18 models of the 32mm base sized infantry variety. If you've been following our magazine reviews you would have seen we already recommended this tray as part of the case sets for Necron army.
Whilst the paint brush and magazine are slender there is always added convenience to store your hobby accessories separately. We therefore recommend getting a KR Accessory case for your paint brushes. The AACA2-B makes a great addition to your hobbying experience, with plenty of space for all your paint brushes, it is great to store your brushes from the magazine so you don't lose or damage any. It comes in Silver as well AACA2-S.
Also included in the magazine this week is a pot of Runelord Brass which is perfect for base coating the body parts all your new Warriors and the many Necron models to come in this serial. Whilst we do not currently have a list of how many paint pots in total will be included with the magazines, grabbing yourself a KRH with the PNT-PP-B set with give you space to store 54 pots in an easy to carry case.
If, like us, you are subscribed and plan to collect all the magazine issues then please check out our review of issue 1 with a list of trays perfect to hold the entire miniature collection here. If you also want to store the terrain safely then stay tuned over the next few months and we will let you know how to store these too.
