Warhammer 40K Imperium Magazine Issue 64-67 Review21st Dec 2022
As we come ever closer to Christmas, this holiday period should give ever some extra time to get their backlog of miniatures assembled and painted, and there have been lots of new ones since our last review. Let us have a look at Warhammer 40K Imperium issues 64 to 66 to see what new models await.
Included in Issue 64 are the Magazine itself, and our last sprue of Immortals or Deathmarks. The same as we got in issue 25, this sprue allows you to choose either weapon options for the Immortals or even build them as Deathmarks.
Included in Issue 65 are the Magazine itself, and a sprue of Space Marines. We get 4 x Space Marine Infiltrators, 1 x Space Marine Suppressor and 1 x Space Marine Eliminator and a Lieutenant in Phobos Armour. As with issue 63 this sprue was originally released in Shadowspear, then in the Space Marine Vanguard Start Collecting set but is only available within the Space Marines Combat patrol box now.
Included in Issue 66 are the Magazine itself, and the same sprue of Space Marines as issue 63. We get 3 x Space Marine Infiltrators, 1 x Space Marine Suppressor and 1 x Space Marine Eliminator.
Included in Issue 67 are the Magazine itself, and our two new paints. White Scar and Tesseract Glow, these paints are arguable two of the most important. That Glow is really important in making the Necrons pop when going with the traditional Gauss paint scheme, but also the White is useful across many of the miniatures to help accent all the details.
To store the Space Marines you will need three trays, we recommend the SM58 tray for the Infiltrators which can store 20 of these models. We recommend the SM70 for the Suppressor and Eliminator models which will hold 10 of these in total. To store the Lieutenant you will need the SM48 which will hold the Victrix Honor Guard and over large Space Marines from the collection.
The Necron Immortals/Deathmarks would fit inside the F3H tray which will hold 18 of these models. If you have been following our magazine reviews however you will know we recommended to get 4 of these F3H trays. This tray will hold the warriors and other Immortals/Deathmarks that came in past magazines.
If you want to store your paints then look no further than grabbing yourself a KRH with the PNT-PP-B set which gives you space to store 54 pots in an easy to carry case. If you have been collecting at least 1 copy of each issue so far then you will already have 31 new paints all in need of somewhere to store or be taken on the road for one of those elusive miniature painting holiday weekends.
