KR Multicase follows up on NOVA Open 2019!14th Oct 2019
NOVA Open 2019 has been wrapped up for a while, and whilst we were sadly not able to attend, we have heard some great things from the show's runners! We also kept our eyes out for future releases from the various miniature showcases. We were happy to help with those of you cashing in your SuperNOVA Buy One Get One Half Off tickets as well!
Our thanks go out to the NOVA Open team, who have worked hard all these years to keep one of the USA's premiere wargaming shows running to such a high standard, and who have cooperated with us for so long. We've been happy to provide support for the tournaments and tickets, and hope to continue on with supporting it!
One of the biggest things about the NOVA Open we love to see is the NOVA Open Charitable foundation - which we support many of the armies and models on offer in the raffle, by providing them with bespoke cases and trays to store them! One of the stand outs this year was the Siege of Heaven Warlord Titan, which was a beautifully painted model, a true stand out in anyone's collection. But each model and army on display was a true demonstration of the dedication to the NOVA Open Charitable Foundation's objective - to provide funds to some truly worthy charities.
A great deal of thanks go to Mike Brandt, the NOVA Open Executive Board, staff, volunteers, Susan Perkins and the rest of the Foundation Lounge Family! Their contributions of time and financial support allow funds raised to go directly to designated charities:
Doctors Without Borders: $25,000
Breast Cancer Research Foundation: $25,000
Fisher House Foundation: $40,000
Arlington County Police F&F Fund: $5,000
Cohen Children's Medical Center: $1,000
This year, Foundation was blessed when five members of the NOCF Artist Consortium stepped up to help coordinate the dozens of incredible miniature artists who were involved in donating the 33 online raffles, so our let's give thanks to Sean Fulton, Ryan Bridges, James Craig, Caleb Dillon and Alex Good.
We look forward to hearing about NOVA Open 2020, and look forward to see what else is released, and what other magnificent models and armies get put forward for charity!
